The Moon Shadows Association would like to let everyone know about an upcoming scrap metal drive sponsored by the Pinckney Pirates Varsity POM squad.

• When: Saturday 10-17-15 and Sunday 10-18-15 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm both days.
• Where: Park and ride on M36. In addition, all scrap metal can be taken directly to Regal Recycling at 645 Lucy St. in Howell. Donations up until Saturday 10-17-15 will go toward the Pinckney POM drive.

Regal Recycling will have a dumpster on site and volunteers will unload any scrap you may have.

We have several Pinckney POM girls in our neighborhood that you would be supporting.

We are sad to report to the Association that one of our dear friends and neighbors has passed away.

Rob Campbell lost his life Tuesday 8-26-14 at approximately 1:00 pm. Rob has been battling illness for the past several years.

Some people may remember that Rob and his family were one of the first to settle in Moon Shadows many years ago.

As a resident, Rob served the community by volunteering his time for over 18 years of combined service. He served as President of Moon Shadows Association for over 7 years after serving many years as a board member of Rush Lake Association.

His dedication and efforts to our community will be missed. We are indebted to him for the many years of hard work and improvements that he put in place during his tenure.

As Moon Shadows President, Rob was instrumental in setting up the boards current structure as well as implementing many of the processes that are currently used to maintain and improve our neighborhood.

He was a dear friend and a great neighbor. He will be missed.

Arrangements – No confirmations as to the times of arrangements have been made. We are hopeful to have information updated later this evening.

• The 4th of July party this Friday is cancelled due to the lack of availability from its membership.
• The Board of Directors has decided to cancel or at least postpone a beach party until more members can participate.
• More information will be discussed at the annual meeting at Hamburg Township library on Tuesday, August 12 at 6:00pm to 7:55pm in Rooms A & B

To all Moon Shadows Members,

Next Friday is the annual 4th of July party. It will be held at the beach once again.

The party will start at 2:30 pm and end at 7:00 pm.

We need volunteers to run the following events:

• Help set up prior to the party – Noon-2:00 pm
• Organize and kick off bicycle parade with the fire department – 3:00 pm fire dept. will arrive
• Organize games and events for kids 3:00-5:00 pm
• Organize menu – Association will provide food, Hamburgers/Hot dogs, potato salad etc…)
• Cook and serve food – Approx. 5:00 pm
• Clean up

We also request that everyone planning to attend RSVP by this Saturday 6-28-14. Please include the following information in your reply.

• Number of family members attending.

NOTE: The association is also missing 5 folding tables and one tent. If anyone has the following items please let us know so we can use them for the party.
